Jer 4:23 "I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light."

(Gen. 1:2b-3) "And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light."

(2Co 4:6) "For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ."

Without God, life is so dark, empty and miserable.
